Partnership in Fishing

Question

Several boat owners fish for fish jointly, and in each boat there are two men. Some boatman catches fish and some does not, and at the time of dividing, all the boat-operators and fish-catchers divide according to their agreement and take equally. Is the fish caught in this way permissible for all the partners or not? Is everyone’s consent to this necessary or not?

Answer

This partnership is not valid. Whatever fish a boatman has caught is his; the other boatmen have no share in it.
