Eating tripe and intestines

Question

Is it permissible to eat the tripe (stomach) and intestines of lawful animals or not? In the monthly “Fayd al-Rasul” for July 65 AH, on p. 32, at the end, Jalal al-Din Ahmad al-Amjadi, one of the teachers of Dar al-‘Ulum Ahl al-Sunna, Bardan Sharif, district Basti, wrote in answer to this very question that eating tripe and intestines is makruh tahrimi, impermissible and a sin?

Answer

[ar]كره تحريمًا، وقيل: تنزيهًا، والأول أوجه، من الشاة سبع: الحياء والخصية والغدة والمثانة والمرارة والدم المسفوح والذكر؛ للأثر الوارد في كراهة ذلك[/ar] “Seven parts of a sheep are disliked (makruh) — prohibitively (tahriman), and it is also said, mildly (tanzihan), the first being weightier: the female genitals, the testicles, the gland (ghudda)
