Method of Performing Salat al-Tasbih

Question

In Salat al-Tasbih, after finishing the recitation in each rak‘ah the third kalimah is recited 15 times, and in other positions 10 times. Another method is also mentioned: if 25 times are recited in the first rak‘ah, then after the second prostration there is no need to pause before standing up. First question: when should these 25 recitations be done — after finishing the recitation or after the opening praise (thana)? Please clarify the method.

Answer

After the opening praise (thana), the tasbih is recited 15 times, then after the recitation and before bowing (ruku‘) it is recited 10 times. This completes 25 recitations. Then in the second, third, and fourth rak‘ah: 15 times before reciting Al-Fatiha, 10 times after reciting the surah. This method is also reported and established.
