Recited “لِلْعُسْرَى” instead of “لِلْيُسْرَى”
Question
The questioner, out of forgetfulness, recited “لِلْعُسْرَى” instead of “فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْيُسْرَى” (Surah al-Layl, 92:7) in [the sura] “Wa-l-layli idha yaghsha”. What is the ruling? Then, upon remembering, he recited another sura — did the prayer become valid or not?
Answer
The meaning was distorted, so the prayer became fasid (invalid). Reciting another sura did not make the prayer valid either.
