Leading the Prayer in a State of Janaba

Question

If someone leads the prayer in a state of janaba (major ritual impurity), what is the ruling for him?

Answer

That person is committing a major sin and also ruins the prayer of all the worshippers. If, by praying in this way, he intends contempt (istikhfaf) for the prayer, then this is kufr.
