An extra amount received on deductions from salary

Question

Question: Zayd began having fifty rupees a month deducted for some good cause of his. After the fixed period, Zayd received 350 rupees over and above this sum. What is the status of these rupees for Zayd?

Answer

When he has a monthly amount deducted from his basic salary and his intention is to spend it on some good cause, why then does he put this extra amount to his own use? Let him give it too in charity (sadaqa) to the poor.
