Saliva from a Child’s Mouth and the Like
Question
Zayd’s son drinks his mother’s milk. If, in a surge of affection, one sucks the leftover water or saliva and the like from his mouth, is such an act impermissible? For probably the milk of Zayd’s wife was in his mouth and would pass into Zayd’s mouth. Can Zayd’s nikah with his wife be severed by such things or not?
Answer
The nikah is not severed by this; but if there is milk in the child’s mouth, then sucking it and drinking it is a sin.
