Are Turks and Ansaris Equal Matches?
Question
A dispute is going on in our area: the daughter of an Ansari weaver has contracted nikah with a man of another community. That man is a Turk by community. Now the young man’s side says the nikah is not valid. The Ansaris say, “Our community is higher than yours,” and the Turks say, “Our community is higher than yours.” Now there is a dispute between the two. In our area the Turks do field work, that is, farming; among them only farming work is done. A complete answer is requested on this matter.
