Setting a Condition in a Nikah

Question

Contracting a nikah with a traveller (musafir) on the condition: “When you go to your homeland, you will have to leave after giving a divorce” — is such a nikah valid or not?

Answer

The nikah will be valid, and no divorce will occur merely on account of going to the homeland.
