The Sunna Method of Nikah: Khutba, Offer and Acceptance, and Du‘a

Question

What is the sunna method of nikah, that is, how should the offer and acceptance (ijab and qabul) be conducted, and which khutba should be read? Muhammad Bashir, 24 Parganas.

Answer

[ar]الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَنَسْتَعِينُهُ وَنَسْتَغْفِرُهُ، وَنَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ شُرُورِ أَنْفُسِنَا، مَنْ يَهْدِهِ اللَّهُ فَلَا مُضِلَّ لَهُ، وَمَنْ يُضْلِلْ فَلَا هَادِيَ لَهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ.
