Giving land in sharecropping for half the produce

Question

Question: A tenant cultivator lets out his field on a half-share basis in this way: the one who ploughs and sows does the labour, and the tenant cultivator only pays the government land revenue, and at harvest the grain is divided half and half between the one who labours and the tenant cultivator. Is this correct?

Answer

This is permissible.
