The ruling on one who performs no prayer except Jumu'a

Question

A man does not pray the whole week; he performs only the Jumu'a prayer. Will his Jumu'a prayer be valid (fulfilled)?

Answer

The Jumu'a prayer will be fulfilled, but abandoning the fard prayers of the whole week is a major sin (kabira) and something that brings grave calamity. He should perform every prayer regularly.
