Renewal of an apostate’s nikah requires a new mahr, etc.

Question

Question: Zayd asked Bakr for a certain thing and, swearing by the Qur’an, assured him: “I will return this thing to you.” Bakr gave it to him. Some time later, when it was asked back, Zayd refused. Bakr reminded him of the oath. At this Zayd said: “I deny the Qur’an.” After that he said other words as well: “I have no hope of justice from God; whatever punishment there is will be in this world, there is nothing in the Hereafter. I am indeed an irreligious kafir,” and so on.

Answer

(1, 2, 3) Zayd is required to renew his faith with repentance and seeking forgiveness, and also to renew the nikah: the offer and acceptance (ijab and qabul) should be performed again before two witnesses with a new mahr. The khutba of nikah and the announcement are not fard but sunna. ‘Idda is not required for the renewal of nikah. (4)
