Scattering Flowers in the Shroud or Placing Them in the Grave

Question

When the deceased is being dressed in the kafan (shroud), flowers are scattered inside the kafan; likewise, flowers are placed in the grave. Is this correct?

Answer

This too is not established and is a wrong practice. However, applying perfume to the deceased while dressing him in the kafan is established.
