Not Accepting a Ruling of the Shari‘a because of Customs

Question

What is the ruling on one who prefers worldly customs to the law of God and the Messenger and does not accept what religion says?

Answer

To prefer worldly customs over the command of God and the Messenger is the utmost distance from the religion of Islam and the way of the Jahiliyya.
