Immodest Dress in Teaching Girls at School
Question
In our surroundings there is generally no hijab; young girls, without any restraint, wear immodest/exposing clothing as they come and go to school and college; only in a rare, isolated household is there some observance of hijab. In such a state, a certain scholar (‘alim), giving a speech at a school, said that, in keeping with the demands of the present age, it is also permissible to teach Muslim girls the NCC (that is, the semi-military training given in schools and colleges).
Answer
What he said is a political statement suited to the present age, not a ruling of the Sacred Law. The Sacred Law has strictly forbidden women from unveiling and exposure; indeed, it has even forbidden a woman from leaving the house wearing perfume even while observing hijab — this has been declared an invitation to fornication.
