Membership in a Hindi-English Education Society for Boys and Girls

Question

Shibli College, in which only English and Hindi are taught. Likewise, in the girls’ high school, English and Hindi are taught. From the standpoint of fatwa and taqwa (God-consciousness), how is being a member of it?

Answer

In a college or school where an education contrary to Islam is given — where wrong beliefs, deeds and morals are all instilled — becoming a member of it and lending it support is absolutely not permissible.
