A monetary fine on a neighbour over a pet deer
Question
A pet deer was kept at my house. A neighbour’s dog attacked it; the deer ran off and plunged into a pond, the dog followed it and also went into the pond. After that the dog got out, but my deer’s condition became bad. People said it would die, so I slaughtered it, brought it and threw it down at the neighbours’ house, and had a report written at the police station. The station officer came and made an arrest.
Answer
These people did not deliberately let their dog loose to hunt your deer, nor did they set it on to catch it; rather, the dog attacked it of its own accord, and the deer fled to save its life; the dog kept chasing it until it went into the pond. Then, seeing its bad condition, you slaughtered it at the suggestion of others.
