Water from the tap of an effeminate (mukhannath) neighbour, and his gift
Question
Question: In Zayd's neighbourhood there is a mukhannath (effeminate man) in whose house a water tap has been installed. Zayd uses the water from his tap. Is it permissible for Zayd to take the water or not? The mukhannath also takes interest and also works at singing and playing music; but he installed the tap before he began taking interest, whereas the singing and music he has done from the very beginning.
Answer
Because of his taking interest and being a mukhannath, the tap water does not become impure or impermissible. However, whatever he brings and gives that was obtained in an impermissible way should not be accepted; indeed, one should not maintain this kind of relationship with him.
