If One with Haram Income Says He Borrowed This Money or That It Is Halal Income, His Word Is Accepted

Question

If the person mentioned says that he is performing Hajj from halal earnings and that it has no connection with haram earnings, can this statement of his be accepted? And can he then be included in the group?

Answer

If he also has a source of halal income, or he says that he has borrowed this money, then his statement may be accepted as true.
