Including a Person with Haram Income in One’s Group During Hajj
Question
A man in the state of Nepal takes contracts for leather, a liquor distillery and the like. He wants to go for Hajj to the House of Allah. Some people from the same village or the surrounding area are also going; these people have no connection of any kind with this man — neither of business nor of kinship. The man or his wife wishes to join this group. His wife’s mahram is her brother; he too is in this group, and the brother has no connection with his sister’s business.
Answer
The Hajj will be valid, but they will not eat haram wealth in partnership with them.
