How Much Hair, and from Where, Women Should Cut to Come Out of Ihram

Question

Question: After Hajj, at the time of the sacrifice, men shave their heads, while women clip as much hair as goes around their finger. So when they perform ‘Umra, should the same amount of hair be cut after ‘Umra as is cut after Hajj, or may they cut even less than that? And should the hair be cut from below, or may the hair over the forehead also be cut?

Answer

They should cut the hair of the whole head by the measure of one finger, that is, by a third of a finger.
