Question: (1) On 18 December 1977 Zayd had his daughter’s nikah performed with ‘Umar; she lived only three months and 18 days and died on 1 April 1978 in a TB hospital. (2) Zayd knew that his daughter was a TB patient, ill in the third stage, and knowing all this he had her married. Who will be responsible for this girl’s death?

Answer

(1, 2) Since no one killed this girl, no one is responsible for her death; if she did not survive despite efforts at treatment, what fault is it of anyone?
