Zina with someone’s wife seen in a dream

Question

Question: Six or seven days ago, at two o’clock in the afternoon, I saw a dream: Zayd’s wife, having had zina committed with her by another man, came out, and the adulterer also came out; the woman is adjusting her loose trousers, and I also saw a trace of semen on the trousers. Zayd became angry and wanted to question that man, but the woman came in between, in front of Zayd, and that man ran off. The image of that man keeps turning before my eyes.

Answer

On the basis of this dream, calling Zayd’s wife an adulteress is haram. If that man whom one saw doing this act comes before you and he is recognised very well — yes, this is the same one — then calling him an adulterer is also impermissible; repentance (tawba) and seeking forgiveness (istighfar) are obligatory.
