The lineage of Shaykh Siddiqis, Shaykh Faruqis, Mughals and Pathans

Question: Is it the case that the lineage of the Shaykhs descends from Hazrat ‘Umar ﵁, and the lineage of the Mughals and Pathans from the Jews and Christians?

Answer

The Shaykh Siddiqis say they are of the lineage of Hazrat Abu Bakr al-Siddiq ﵁, and the Shaykh Faruqis say they are of the lineage of Hazrat ‘Umar ﵁. About the Mughals and Pathans I do not know.
