Helping sons who killed their father
Question
Five brothers conspired and killed their father. Four of the brothers, having had bribes paid through other people, obtained their release. In this situation, what about helping these sons and how should they be treated? And how great is the sin of their killing their father?
Answer
Killing one’s own father without a legitimate reason in the Shari‘a is a very great injustice and a grave kind of sin; its evil consequence is unbearable. No help whatsoever should be given to them in this matter, nor should this enormous crime be concealed by giving bribes.
