What should a husband do if his wife falls ill when he travels?

Question: A woman falls ill when her husband goes away on a journey. Is it necessary for the husband to take her with him? Or is it necessary for the husband not to go because of this excuse?

Answer

The husband may travel for his own need, even though his wife falls ill; but he should go after arranging for her care, or take her with him on the journey.
