A practice for unveiling spirits (kashf al-arwah) and the like

Question: ʿUmar states that there is a certain practice (ʿamal) or regular litany through whose recitation the state of the heavens and the earth, Paradise and Hell, the Tablet and the Pen, as well as the conditions of the grave, become known, and one meets the spirits. Is this correct?
