The manner of reciting salat and salam
Question
The manner of salawat and salam mentioned in “Salawat-i Akbar” (“The Greatest Blessing”), the supplication “Ganj al-‘Arsh” (“Treasure of the Throne”) and the like — for example, “Blessings and peace be upon you, O Messenger of Allah…” — is this particular manner established by the Holy Qur’an, the hadiths of the Prophet ﷺ, or the practice of the Companions, or not? And what is the manner of salawat and salam that is established from the Prophet ﷺ himself?
