Eating a friend’s things without permission

Question

Question: Zayd and Bakr are very close and informal with each other: they eat each other’s things without permission. From the point of view of the Shari‘a, is this permissible or impermissible?

Answer

If one has permission for this from the other, and they are not displeased with each other when (one) eats (the other’s) thing, but on the contrary are pleased, then according to the Shari‘a too it is permissible.
