The Baha’i Religion
Question
Zayd has accepted the Baha’i religion, that is, acknowledging Baha’ullah as the Promised One of all religions and the abrogator (nasikh) of the Qur’an, he has believed in that new law (shari‘a) which Baha’ullah claims. The book [of that law] is called “Aqdas”; according to its teachings all the prophets and messengers and the heavenly books are set aside, and the chain of messengership never comes to an end — that is, they do not accept the Noble Messenger ﷺ as the Seal of the Messengers.
Answer
After adopting these beliefs Zayd has left iman; his marriage stands annulled. Since she has already lived with the husband [as his wife], the full mahr has become due. She may now recover her mahr; she must keep entirely apart from him and maintain no marital relationship with him.
