Ḥaḍrat Jābir ibn ʿAbdullāh al-Anṣārī, may Allah be pleased with him (d. 78 AH)
Answer
He was among the seventy Anṣār who took part in the Pledge of ʿAqabah. Hafiz adh-Dhahabi mentions him as a faqīh and mufti of Madinah, and writes: [ar]حَمَلَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِلْمًا كَثِيرًا نَافِعًا[/ar] "He took from the Prophet ﷺ abundant and beneficial knowledge" (ibid.).
