Answer

He was, without any doubt, the gate to the city of knowledge; Kufa was the seat of his scholarly teaching, and there too was the seat of his caliphate. Ḥaḍrat ʿAbdullāh ibn Masʿūd, may Allah be pleased with him (d. 32 AH)
