A Loan of Paddy

Question

What is the ruling on taking or giving paddy (unhusked rice) as a loan in return for paddy?

Answer

If paddy was taken as a loan (qard) and then exactly the same quantity of paddy was returned, without any decrease or increase, this is valid according to the Shariʿa.
