He borrowed to live on because of poor harvests and looked after the land — may a debt therefore be imposed?

Question: After the death of our parents, we two brothers divided the entire property in half. We two brothers have only one sister. At the time of dividing the property, the sister was deprived of the property, because the elder brother was not willing to give the sister a share. Now this humble servant has firmly resolved to give the sister one fifth out of his present half.

Answer

In this situation you have no right to place this debt on your sister.
