Is black-marketeering a sin?

Answer

The basic principle is that the owner has the right in the Shari‘a to sell his property at whatever price he wishes. But if the owners sell goods at an excessive price, and the general public is in severe hardship because of the high prices, and there is no solution to this other than fixing prices (control)
