Kissing the Thumb After the Adhan

Question

Some people kiss the thumb after the adhan. Is there any hadith about this?

Answer

‘Allama Shami ﵀, after a detailed discussion, wrote that no sound marfu‘ hadith is established for this (“Radd al-Muhtar”, vol. 1, p. 267).
