How many kinds of bid‘a are there?

Answer

According to the Sacred Law bid‘a has only one kind, namely sayyi’a (evil), and it is in no way permissible. Those who have made some division have made it from the standpoint of the language; that division is in Shami, al-Fatawa al-Hadithiyya and other [books].
