Some Animals Too Will Enter Paradise

Question

In some books it is written that the dog of the Ashab al-Kahf (the People of the Cave) too will enter Paradise — whereas the dog has been declared so impure that on its account even the angels could not enter the houses of the prophets; how, then, will this dog enter Paradise? In some books it is written that it will not go in the form of a dog. What needs to be ascertained is: in what form, then, will it enter Paradise? Or is it altogether wrong that it will enter Paradise?

Answer

In the tafsir “al-Khazin” it is written that the dog of the Ashab al-Kahf will enter Paradise, but no description is given of the form in which it will enter. If the God Who has the power to bring the dead to life — indeed, to grant existence out of non-existence — changes impurity into purity, what difficulty is there in that?
