Calling Upon a Spiritual Guide

Question

How far is it correct to say “Ya Khelna” to the respected Shan ‘Aziz Allah, the spiritual guide of Khelna? How far is it correct to say “Huzur” (a reverent form of address, lit. “presence”) to this guide’s khalifa, the respected guide ‘Alim al-Din? How far is it correct to say “Huzur” or “Ya Ghawth” and the like at all times — when going to sleep, when rising and sitting, in joy and in grief, in every state — while the name of Allah and of the Messenger ﷺ is never taken at any time?

Answer

It is forbidden; it resembles shirk.
