E556 Calcium aluminosilicate — is it halal?

Description

Calcium aluminium silicate E556 is a synthetic amorphous hydrated calcium aluminium silicate, an anticaking agent. Under GB 25582-2010 it is precipitated from water glass (c1) with calcium and aluminium salts; the reagents are known only from patents (c2–c14). Authorised in the EU until 31.01.2014, dropped from GB 2760 in China in 2011 and excluded in the EAEU in 2023; JECFA withdrew its specification in 2015.
