The Holy Quran 5:29 — Surah Al-Ma'idah

Arabic text

إِنِّىٓ أُرِيدُ أَن تَبُوٓأَ بِإِثْمِى وَإِثْمِكَ فَتَكُونَ مِنْ أَصْحَـٰبِ ٱلنَّارِ ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ جَزَٰٓؤُا۟ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

Translation

"(Instead of harming you to defend myself,) I would rather that you take upon yourself my sin (the sin of killing me) and your (other) sins and (as a result) you become one of the dwellers of the Fire (of Jahannam). Such is the punishment of the wrong-doers."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

إني أريد أن ترجع حاملا إثم قَتْلي، وإثمك الذي عليك قبل ذلك، فتكون من أهل النار وملازميها، وذلك جزاء المعتدين.
