The Holy Quran 5:30 — Surah Al-Ma'idah

Arabic text

فَطَوَّعَتْ لَهُۥ نَفْسُهُۥ قَتْلَ أَخِيهِ فَقَتَلَهُۥ فَأَصْبَحَ مِنَ ٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَ

Translation

So his (Qaabeel's) soul seduced (encouraged) him to kill his brother and he killed him, thereby becoming among the losers (in this world by oppression and severing relationship and in the Aakhirah).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فَزَيَّنت لقابيلَ نفسُه أن يقتل أخاه، فقتله، فأصبح من الخاسرين الذين باعوا آخرتهم بدنياهم.
