The Holy Quran 3:126 — Surah Ali 'Imran

Arabic text

وَمَا جَعَلَهُ ٱللَّهُ إِلَّا بُشْرَىٰ لَكُمْ وَلِتَطْمَئِنَّ قُلُوبُكُم بِهِۦ ۗ وَمَا ٱلنَّصْرُ إِلَّا مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ

Translation

Allaah had granted this (assistance) only so that it may be good news for you (Muslims, to remove your anxiety) and so that your hearts may be comforted by it (and you may then be able to fight with greater courage, ease and tranquillity). Assistance is only from Allaah (and not from large armies and equipment), The Mighty, The Wise. (No one can totally comprehend the actions of Allaah.)

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وما جعل الله هذا الإمداد بالملائكة إلا بشرى لكم يبشركم بها ولتطمئن قلوبكم، وتطيب بوعد الله لكم. وما النصر إلا من عند الله العزيز الذي لا يغالَب، الحكيم في تدبيره وفعله.
