The Holy Quran 31:25 — Surah Luqman

Arabic text

وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ ٱللَّهُ ۚ قُلِ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ۚ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

Translation

(Despite their rejection, even the Mushrikeen acknowledge that only Allaah is Powerful enough to create the universe. Therefore,) If you ask them (the Mushrikeen) who created the heavens and the earth, they will definitely reply, “Allaah." Say, "All praise belongs to Allaah (because Only He is so Great that even those who refuse to worship Him have to concede to His Greatness)". However, most of them (the Kuffaar and Mushrikeen) do not know (the consequences of their Shirk and therefore persist in it).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ولئن سألت -أيها الرسول- هؤلاء المشركين بالله: مَن خلق السموات والأرض؟ ليقولُنَّ الله، فإذا قالوا ذلك فقل لهم: الحمد لله الذي أظهر الاستدلال عليكم من أنفسكم، بل أكثر هؤلاء المشركين لا ينظرون ولا يتدبرون مَن الذي له الحمد والشكر، فلذلك أشركوا معه غيره.
