The Holy Quran 31:24 — Surah Luqman

Arabic text

نُمَتِّعُهُمْ قَلِيلًا ثُمَّ نَضْطَرُّهُمْ إِلَىٰ عَذَابٍ غَلِيظٍ

Translation

We will allow them (the Kuffaar) to enjoy themselves for a while (in this world), after which We will force them into a harsh punishment (in the Aakhirah). (The enjoyment they have in this world is therefore nothing to envy because their end is one of misery.)

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

نمتعهم في هذه الدنيا الفانية مدة قليلة، ثم يوم القيامة نُلجئهم ونسوقهم إلى عذاب فظيع، وهو عذاب جهنم.
