The Holy Quran 28:10 — Surah Al-Qasas

Arabic text

وَأَصْبَحَ فُؤَادُ أُمِّ مُوسَىٰ فَـٰرِغًا ۖ إِن كَادَتْ لَتُبْدِى بِهِۦ لَوْلَآ أَن رَّبَطْنَا عَلَىٰ قَلْبِهَا لِتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

Translation

(Meanwhile,) The heart of Moosa عليه الصلاة والسلام's mother was (very) restless (for she was worried about her baby). She would have almost revealed (disclosed) his condition (by telling people her story) if We had not strengthened her heart to be from those with conviction (when she was convinced that Allaah would protect her child, she allowed him to be separated from her and to be taken into Fir'oun's home).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وأصبح فؤاد أم موسى خاليًا من كل شيء في الدنيا إلا من همِّ موسى وذكره، وقاربت أن تُظهِر أنه ابنها لولا أن ثبتناها، فصبرت ولم تُبْدِ به; لتكون من المؤمنين بوعد الله الموقنين به.
