The Holy Quran 10:35 — Surah Yunus

Arabic text

قُلْ هَلْ مِن شُرَكَآئِكُم مَّن يَهْدِىٓ إِلَى ٱلْحَقِّ ۚ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ يَهْدِى لِلْحَقِّ ۗ أَفَمَن يَهْدِىٓ إِلَى ٱلْحَقِّ أَحَقُّ أَن يُتَّبَعَ أَمَّن لَّا يَهِدِّىٓ إِلَّآ أَن يُهْدَىٰ ۖ فَمَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ

Translation

Say (to the Mushrikeen), "Are any of your partners (gods) capable of guiding towards the truth?" Say, "Allaah guides to the truth! So is He (Allaah) Who guides to the truth more worthy of following or he (your gods) who cannot find guidance unless he is shown the way? So what is the matter with you? How do you judge?" (How can you worship something that does not deserve to be worshipped?)

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

قل -أيها الرسول- لهؤلاء المشركين: هل مِن شركائكم مَن يرشد إلى الطريق المستقيم؟ فإنهم لا يقدرون على ذلك، قل لهم: الله وحده يهدي الضال عن الهدى إلى الحق. أيهما أحق بالاتباع: مَن يهدي وحده للحق أم من لا يهتدي لعدم علمه ولضلاله، وهم شركاؤكم الذين لا يهدون ولا يهتدون إلا أن يهدوا؟ فما بالكم كيف سوَّيتم بين الله وخلقه؟ وهذا حكم باطل.
