The Holy Quran 10:34 — Surah Yunus

Arabic text

قُلْ هَلْ مِن شُرَكَآئِكُم مَّن يَبْدَؤُا۟ ٱلْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥ ۚ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ يَبْدَؤُا۟ ٱلْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤْفَكُونَ

Translation

Say, "Are there any of your partners who can create (something) from nothing (without any raw materials) and then create it again (a second time after it has been destroyed) ?" Say, "Allaah creates from nothing and then creates (a second time). So to where are you wandering astray?" (How can you worship gods whose powers cannot compare with Allaah's powers?)

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

قل لهم -أيها الرسول-: هل من آلهتكم ومعبوداتكم مَن يبدأ خَلْق أي شيء من غير أصل، ثم يفنيه بعد إنشائه، ثم يعيده كهيئته قبل أن يفنيه؟ فإنهم لا يقدرون على دعوى ذلك، قل -أيها الرسول-: الله تعالى وحده هو الذي ينشئ الخلق ثم يفنيه ثم يعيده، فكيف تنصرفون عن طريق الحق إلى الباطل، وهو عبادة غير الله؟
