Income Received in the Middle of the Year Follows the Money over Which the Year Is Completed

Question

Zayd pays zakat every year in Sha‘ban. Over the money that came to him after Sha‘ban the year (hawl) has not been completed. When the next Sha‘ban comes, will he at that time pay zakat on the money of the middle of the year over which the year has not passed, or not?

Answer

This money will follow the money over which the year has already passed, and zakat will be obligatory on the total.
